Hi there, I'm Ivan! 👋🏻

I'm an Automation QA Engineer with a deep-seated passion for creating software that teams can release with absolute confidence. You could say my career has been about building things—first in the physical world, and now in the digital one. My journey from a seven-year career in Civil Engineering to the world of tech has been my greatest strength, allowing me to build a unique bridge 🌉 between disciplined project management and dynamic software development.

My goal is simple: to help build a "culture of quality" wherever I go. For me, this isn't just about finding bugs; it's about architecting smarter, more efficient ways to ensure excellence from the ground up. It’s about building bridges between technical requirements and business goals, ensuring that every line of code serves a greater purpose.

I believe the future of QA lies in empowerment and innovation. That’s why I’m passionate about exploring the potential of AI in QA 🤖, seeking out new ways to enhance testing frameworks and drive efficiency. But technology is only half of the equation. True quality is built collaboratively, by teams who feel supported and knowledgeable. My mission is to be a resource for others—a mentor for those just starting and a collaborative peer for seasoned experts.

From Civil Engineering to Code: My Foundation

Before I ever wrote a test script, I managed multi-million euros civil engineering projects. For seven years, I lived in a world of blueprints, timelines, and tangible results. That experience wasn't a detour; it was the foundation. It taught me disciplined, results-driven leadership and how to see the big picture without losing sight of the critical details. Today, I apply that same strategic thinking to building robust digital infrastructures, bridging the gap between the precision of physical construction and the creativity of software development.

My Professional Experience

Here are some of the key achievements and areas of expertise I bring to my work:

🟢 Align Quality with Business Goals: Partnering with product managers and developers to create simple, clear quality strategies. This ensures the focus of our testing efforts on what matters most to the customers and the business.

🟢 Bring Clarity to Complex Projects: Helping teams work together smoothly by leading quality efforts, ensuring everyone is aligned and clear on the goals, even across multiple teams.

🟢 Build a Stronger Engineering Culture: Enjoy mentoring developers and QA professionals on best practices. This helps build a strong culture where everyone on the team feels responsible for quality.

🟢 Increase Your Release Speed: Building modern, easy-to-use automated testing systems (for both the user interface and API) from scratch. This helps new features are released faster and with fewer bugs.

🟢 Give Developers More Confidence: By adding automated tests into development pipeline (CI/CD), developers get instant feedback on their code, helping them move faster and with more confidence.

A Little More About Me

When I'm not deep in a test plan or exploring a new automation tool, you can usually find me spending quality time with my family and our dog. At my core, I'm a problem-solver—whether it's figuring out a complex engineering challenge at work or a puzzle at home. This curiosity is what drives me to constantly learn and improve.
